For my regular readers that were wondering where Monday's article was, I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to write one. Training for my new job has me working some odd hours at odd locations and it's been messing with my writing rhythm. On with today's article...
For the past few months my wife has been trying to get a home business of breeding Betta fish off the ground. Unfortunately for her I had to sign a pretty lengthy non-compete agreement when I started my new job working for a pet retailer. And even though I would technically not be the one competing, we figured it was best to not walk a fine line like that.
In better news though I recently put together a small website dedicated to my enjoyment of Pirates of the Cursed Seas. The mini-site has some custom rules and scenarios that I've come up with and it also has a list of ships that I'm trying to sell. I have no delusions about this being a big money making business but I do hope to sell some of my ships to cover the cost of buying packs of ships. For right now people simply have to email me what ships that they are interested in and I will give them PayPal instructions.
I'm planning on developing the ships for sale part of the site into an actual online store. I'm doing this pretty much for the purpose of learning more about ecommerce as I have never actually had a functioning online store before. But now I have product to sell so I figured why not. I'm hoping that I can gain some experience with this small scale commerce site to eventually branch into something that will probably be a bit more profitable. I'll keep you posted as the site develops.
So please check out my new little site.
